Jyomyoji Temple (Shucho-zan/ Hokke Sect)

This is the family temple of Shusei Tokuda, a novelist from Kanazawa. The temple appears in one of his novels. Shusei died in Tokyo in 1982 and his ashes were buried in this temple. Yasushi Inoue, another famous novelist, built a stone monument here inscribed with his words. There are also many tombs of prominent figures such as Konosuke Adachi, a scholar who worked for the Kaga clan in the Edo period.
